Thoughts of November

Here it is . . . November already. Once again it is the month where we Americans tend to extol everything we're thankful for in our lives. This generally consists of things like family, health, and home, etc. All things good and proper, and I, myself, am extremely thankful for many of these noble blessings that enhance my world. However, there are always a few things I tend to neglect when I relay my list of "thanks," so I dedicate this post to the forgotten few.

1) Cheesecake. Food of the gods. My thighs may disagree, but my taste buds always win this argument.

2) Plumbers. I am not, nor do I ever want to be, a plumber. The little bits of basic plumbing I have ever attempted has always taken me at least three times to get it right, accompanied by much cursing.

From broken pipes to clogged toilets, those hardy souls earn every penny they charge. Hail to the plumber--I thank thee.

3) Shoes. I may not care about weddings, designer clothes, chick flicks, or the Kardashians, but in some ways I am a bit girly. "Hello. My name is Leanna and I am a shoe-oholic." (Just ask my husband who, over the years, has slowly relinquished his closet space in order to help support my habit.)

4) People who don't wear cologne. Let me rephrase that. People who don't believe they must bathe in cologne. When I'm eating in a retaurant and the stench of your chosen scent permeates my food from across the room, you're wearing too much. If you're that woried about your own body odor then for Pete's sake, use some soap and water!

5) Koalas. I mean, really--who doesn't love koalas?

6) Soft, fluffy towels. I believe that anyone over the age of 50 is ENTITLED to dry off with something other than sandpaper. 'Nuff said.

7) Last but not least, I am extremely thankful for all of you who have taken the time to read this post. Have a great November, my friends, and enjoy the small things that bless your life every day!
